Julie Seibert and Ellen Fenton will be leading an in-depth discussion focused on this year’s Great Escape Book Club selection: 

Founding Mothers: the Women who Raised Our Nation by Cokie Roberts. 

This book showcases the women who raised our nation, including Abigail Adams, Deborah Read Franklin, and Martha Washington among others. Roberts uncovered hundreds of personal anecdotes and wove them together in a single, suspenseful narrative. Their lives were full of so much hardship but the sense of hope for themselves and our fledgling country was quite apparent.

With our country's 250th Anniversary fast-approaching, Julie and Ellen are excited to discuss this book with you at Great Escape.  Reading the book before arriving at camp is always more fun; but anyone is welcome to join in the group discussion whether you've read the book or not.  Book Club will meet at a most dignified hour on Saturday afternoon, during appetizers.  Join us!
